2006 Sangiovese

Sangiovese has been making fine wines in Italy for hundreds of years and has established a new home in Mudgee where the growing conditions are ideally suited to the variety.

Full of flavour but slightly lighter in style, this is the ideal red wine for the Australian climate. The 2006 Sangiovese is a smooth textured wine with typical varietal characters of cherries, plums and leather. The palate is earthy and savoury with good acid structure characteristic of sangiovese, making it a very good match for a wide variety of foods.

Cellaring Potential: Drinking well now and will cellar for up to three years.

Wine Maker: Moore Hazzard
